If you’re not sure if you can commit to the long term maintenance and cost of hair extensions, using clip-in extensions are the way to go. It’s a less expensive route to take in order to determine if hair extensions would work for your current hairstyle, hair condition and even lifestyle. The best part is that clip in hair extensions will allow you to enjoy the beauty of heat fusion, cold fusion, sewn-in and all other types of thorough hair extensions that you can remove and put back anytime.
Clip-in hair extensions feature a clip with a large section of hair (synthetic or real) attached to it. You can clip them to any part of your natural hair in order to add lenght, volume and highlights.
Celebrities are quick to join the lob, bob and rainbow hair trend but Scarlett Johansson is taking a non so different hairstyle route — the pixie.
This week, the star of Lucy and Her, walked the streets of New York with fiancé Romain Dauriac looking more pregnant than ever and showed off her new cropped hair with long wispy fringe. Her pixie cut also has an updated pale blonde color.
A high, super sleek ponytail works best with a clean and straight hair. If you have wavy hair, use a flat iron to straighten it. Brush back your hair following the natural hollows of your cheekbone. Be careful when pulling the hair because pulling it too tight can lead to breakage. Gather your high ponytail with a transparent elastic band. Finish the hairstyle by wrapping a section of hair from the ponytail around its base and secure with a bobby pin. Douse a toothbrush with a medium-hold hairspray and brush it along the hairline to manage the flyaways.
The hair has no way of knowing if you’re using the same or different products on it. Technically, the hair is not alive so it can’t acquire tolerance to a particular shampoo or any hair product. The reason why we sometimes feel that our hair care products are no longer working is because of possible product or chemical build-up on the hair shaft and scalp. Make it a habit to use a clarifying shampoo at least every two weeks to ensure that no impurities will remain to dull the hair.
The 3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2014 fashion show featured a punk rock vibe with all the models sporting a post-gym inspired hair. With post-gym hair, we’re talking about dual textured ‘do — piecey and tousled waves at the back and (combed) ultra-shiny and wet looking in the front. To further emanate the edgy appeal of the hair look, the models’ makeup accented the cheeks and eye area by creating full, strong brows and by sculpting the cheeks and jawline. The lips and eyelids were bare while the skin were simply moisturized.
Rita Ora is the latest celebrity to join the rainbow hair colour trend!
The 23-year-old British singer/songwriter attended the Berlin Fashion Week wearing rainbow coloured hair extensions to her signature blond bob. The purple, pink and teal hues of her hair extensions were gathered into a low ponytail which actually reminded us of “My Little Pony.” This surprising hairdo added a flirty and fun accent against her chic, all-black outfit.

Anna Sui’s Fall 2014 collection is a testament to her eclectic and old-world signature style. The fashion pieces worn by her models during the recent Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week in New York features Art-deco textures and Asian-inspired graphic prints accentuated with touchable furs and chopsticks.
Chopsticks were made into a major hair accessory during the fashion show. Sui made her models walk the runway wearing lacquered buns and blunt bangs which further establish the oriental influence of her collection. Hair were blow dry straight and were all gathered into a low bun using chosticks with lots of loose tendrils on the side.
