Who else but Catherine Zeta-Jones! The 44-year-old brunette Hollywood A-lister walked the red carpet for The Library’s opening night at The Public Theater in New York City this week wearing a full-on layered fringe that rests just above her eyebrows. The look is actually very reminiscent of the the blunt fringe that she wore when she played the character of Velma in the movie Chicago back in 2002.
What do you think of Catherine’s new ‘do? We think it gives her a very youthful and refreshing appeal.
Zoë Kravitz proves that some people can effortlessly pull off any hair colour and any hairstyle. The star of Divergent and X-Men: First Class debuted her new blonde bob hair and choppy fringe at Coachella 2014. Check it out:
Known for her edgy and punky hairstyles from the past, Zoë has already coloured her hair from jet black to purple. We’ve seen her pulling off ombre tips, blonde streaks and even a dramtic pixie back in 2012. The daughter of Lenny Kravitz to actress Lisa Bonet is a true hairstyle trendsetter.
Carolina Herrera’s bridal gown pieces sing old Hollywood glam as they feature countless layered soft tulle, intricate laces and luxe silk materials. The patterns are structured yet emanating with a feminine feedback. Our favorite part are the floral headpieces the models wore in either a low chignon style or voluminous french twist. In our opinion, the hair flower accessories softened the sharp details on the bridal gowns making everything else subtle, gentle and ethereal.
Monique Lhuillier is know for her intricately designed and stunningly impactful bridal gowns that an overtly styled hair is not necessary. To balance the details of Lhuillier’s creations, a sleek, large bun that is sitting at the nape of the neck is the best way to go. paired with a “barely there” makeup look, the results are absolutely enchanting!
Many Hollywood celebrities are acquiring this habit of chopping it all off to celebrate the warmth of the Spring/Summer 2014 season. One of thos celebs is Kate Mara who’s been sporting a a shoulder-skimming bob and light blonde wash of colour recently.
Curl your hair to add an edgy feel to it and spritz on some salt spray for added texture. Consider getting some volume around the crown area with a help from dry shampoo and you’re good to go.
Bad hair days… don’t we all hate ‘em? The perfect amount of sunshine, wind or humidity can give you the best mane ever but the weather is so dynamic, they can literally change in a very sudden manner turning your hair into a frizzy mess before you know it.
Before you collect your hair into a ponytail, you may want to check this new app that claims to determine if you’re going to have a good hair day or not. The “How’s Your Hair” app is like a weather forecast for the hair. It will tell you if it’s going to be sunny, windy or rainy and will let you know if you need an umbrella or a hat to protect your hair from harsh environmental elements. Here’s a sample screengrab from the said app:

This hairstyle was one of the hottest trends during the fall/winter 2013 season and it managed to be just as popular for the spring/summer 2014 season as well because of it’s practicality and refreshing appeal.
Textured and arched hairstyles may look kind of difficult to pull off but in reality, they aren’t. These statement hairstyles are meant to highlight your personality and attitude resulting to an instant confidence boost.
